The Federal Communications Commission has announced the agenda and invited participants for its second official public hearing on its media ownership rules in Nashville on Monday, December 11.
There will be two panels, each followed by a period for public comment.
The first panel will examine issues affecting the music recording industry. The second panel will provide an overview of the Nashville market and issues affecting broadcasters and independent programmers.
The first panel will feature several country music stars including George Jones, Porter Wagoner and Naomi Judd. The second panel will feature local media executives and public interest group representatives, including Gene Kimmelman, Vice President, Federal & International Affairs for Consumers Union.
The hearing will be held at the Massey Performing Arts Center at Belmont University in Nashville. It gets underway at 1:00 p.m.
