International: Freedom of Expression Conference; Buenos Aires; May 8-10, 200706/28/2007
Thousands of people in China recently utilized text messaging and their wireless phones to organize and carry out protests against a proposed chemical plant, according to an article in the Washington Post. This is just one way people all over the world are using technology to exercise their freedom of expression. That was the topic of a recent international conference sponsored by the Ford Foundation in Buenos Aires.
